"My daughter joined AXiD and I could not be happier. She has explored and exceeded at leadership roles, made some wonderful friendships and has pushed her to exceed in her academics. Most of all, AXiD helps our girls develop and nurture a social conscience, putting philanthropy front and center as a driving force in their college experience"

Heather Peninger

Mother of Krista and Morgan Penniger

Both of my daughters joined Alpha Xi Delta during their freshman year at Wingate University. Joining this chapter gave them a sense of belonging and sisterhood which is very important while away at school. To this day they have found their best friends and those that they can always count on. I truly believe both of my girls gained an immense amount of leadership opportunities, self confidence, the ability to realize their potential, and so much more. Joining this sorority was their first step to a successful college experience and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Kathy Graumann

Mother of Emily Graumann

It was move in day for freshman at Wingate, and the first people we meet to help us with Emily’s belongings were a group of Alpha XI Delta. Not to my surprise as I was hoping she would find a network of women who share a connection with sisterhood that I joined as a young college student myself, Alpha XI Delta . I was thrilled to hear she had accepted a bid to join this wonderful organization. Alpha XI Delta has helped Emily grow into the beautiful young women she is today. It has helped her get outside of her shell. It has given her experiences she will never forget. Homecoming tailgates, bid day, ceremonies, late night study sessions and most of all lifetime friendships. Being involved in the chapter has gotten her to know so many people, a place where she has found a sense of belonging. She has enjoyed being a big sister and taking on roles of ritual, member development and recruitment 365 director. She is also experiencing the importance to giving back to the community by helping and supporting the philanthropy, “Autism Speaks”. Most importantly she has made many cherished friendships, as I too to this day have with my own chapter sisters. I am thankful she became an Alpha XI Delta.
